Cathleen Rountree, Ph.D., is a culture journalist––focusing on travel, food, film, art, and women’s interests––and author of nine books including The Movie Lovers’ Club; The Writer’s Mentor; and the five-volume series on women’s life stages: On Women Turning 30, 40, 50, 60, & 70. She travels extensively and writes for Coast Magazine, reviews films for BoxOffice, and is a Contributing Editor and columnist at Documentary Magazine. An active public lecturer and educator, she taught Writing, Film Studies, Women’s Studies, and Multicultural Studies for 16 years at the University of California, Santa Cruz.
